Become a Member of Transylvania Partners for Democracy Today!
We will be having our first TPD members meeting on Tuesday, July 22 in the Mary C Jenkins Center at 7 PM. Anyone who is interested in becoming a member is invited. (More details on the meeting next week!)
Are you interested in expressing your support for democracy and the values articulated in the US constitution, in a nonpartisan forum. Are you concerned about current trends and events in our country? Are you curious about how these trends and events impact residents of Transylvania County? Are you interested in sharing what you learn with others? Would you like to get engaged in a way that encourages people from a variety of different organizations and political affiliations to work together?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, please consider becoming a member of Transylvania Partners for Democracy (TPD)! (click on the link)
As a member, you will have the opportunity to:
· Express your support for democracy and the values articulated in the US constitution, in a nonpartisan forum.
· Engage with a group of civic-minded fellow county residents
· Participate in civil, informative conversations about topics of interest to residents of Transylvania County
· Propose, plan and execute events designed to inform and educate residents of Transylvania County, in collaboration with the TPD board and other members
As a member, you are expected to:
· Attend membership meetings, as much as possible
· Actively participate in TPD events and activities
· Encourage friends, neighbors and business and community partners to learn about TPD and its mission
· Support TPD financially, if possible, for example through annual voluntary membership donation of $20.
